Manage assets and plan replacements

Every course runs on assets, from pumps and mowers to bridges and irrigation controllers, and every one of them has a lifespan. The Asset Manager is where you keep track of what you own, where it sits on the course, and when it’s due to be replaced. Instead of a replacement surprising you mid-season, you see it coming and can build it into next year’s budget.

  1. Click Asset manager on the left toolbar.

  2. Open the Assets tab: “List, assign, and spotlight assets on the map.” This is your working list of everything you own.

  3. Assign an asset and spotlight it on the map so the crew can see exactly where it lives.

  4. Switch to the Structure tab to organize your assets into groups.

The Outlook tab turns your assets into a capital plan: “Plan replacements and capital outlooks.”

  1. Open the Outlook tab.

  2. Read the cost-by-year buckets. Anything already past its date lands in “Overdue”.

  3. Check the headline numbers: “Total projected cost” across the horizon, the “Peak year” where spending bunches up, and the “Top group” driving the cost.

  4. Watch “At-risk assets (≥80%)” — the ones that are 80% or more through their expected life and worth planning for now.

An empty Outlook usually just means your assets don’t have replacement years set yet, add one and it shows up on the plan. The Asset Manager is Owners and Management only, and web-only, so if you don’t see the button, that’s why. Anything else, email us at support@turfile.com.
