The toolbar

The toolbar runs down the left side of the screen. It holds the tools for whatever you’re doing: adding objects, opening your inventory, reporting an issue, managing to-dos, and so on.

Like the navigation bar, it stays out of your way. You’ll see a column of icons, and the labels slide out when you hover so you can find the right one without guessing.

The toolbar isn’t a fixed set of buttons. It rebuilds itself for whichever section you’re in, so you only ever see tools that actually apply:

  • Irrigation gives you pipe and wire tools, the inspection scheduler, and map export.
  • Bunkers gives you the button to draw a new bunker onto the map.
  • Handbook gives you drawing tools for lines, areas, and text.
  • Home gives you the whiteboard, vision mode, the asset manager, and measurement tools.

A few tools show up almost everywhere, because you always want them handy. Account & profile is always at the top, and things like your Inventory, Issues, and To-do manager follow you across most sections.

If a tool looks greyed out, that’s usually your permission level. Hover it and Turfile tells you why. The full breakdown is in Roles and permissions.
