Turfile Vision

Turfile Vision is the fastest way to measure an irregular shape on your course. Instead of tracing a fairway or a pond point by point, you click on it, and an automatic segmentation model works out where its edges are, masks the shape, and gives you the square footage.

Think of everything that isn’t a neat rectangle: a green, a garden bed, a wash area, a stretch of native. Vision reads those the way your eye does and measures them in seconds.

  1. Line up the shot first. Pan and zoom so the area you want to measure is on screen. When Vision activates, the map locks so the model can work on a still image.

  2. Click Vision mode, then Activate vision. It spins up and works through capturing the view and finding edges.

  3. Click on what you want to measure. Each click adds to the selection; if it grabs too much or too little, add another click to refine it, or a negative click to trim a piece back out.

  4. Watch Estimated area update live, in square feet, as you click. Undo drops your last click, Reset clicks starts the shape over.

  5. When you’ve got your number, Exit vision to unlock the map.

  • Zoom in before you activate. The more of the view your target fills, the cleaner the edges come out.
  • Start with one click in the middle of your target, then only add clicks where the outline overreaches.
  • Just need a straight-line distance or a quick hand-drawn area? The plain measuring tools are faster, and every role can use them.

If Vision won’t start, exit, line the map back up, and try again, it needs the map held still to read the imagery. If the tool is locked, it’s tied to your plan and role (Owners and Management). Reach out at support@turfile.com if you’d like it enabled.
