Add an irrigation object to the map
Every head, valve, and controller you place becomes a point the whole crew can find, log work on, and inspect. Adding one takes about fifteen seconds: drop a pin, pick the type, name it, done.
-
Open the Irrigation section.
-
Click the green Add object button on the left toolbar.
-
Click the spot on the map where the object lives. Near a pipe, the pin snaps right onto it. Press Esc if you change your mind.
-
The Set Up Irrigation Item form opens with the location locked in. Wrong spot? Hit Change and click again.
-
Pick the type: Sprinkler Head, Valve, Quick Coupler Valve, Satellite Controller, Splice Box, Pump Station, Central Control, PRV / PVR, Flow Meter, or Water Source.
-
Name it (something like “18 Green QCV”), and set a Hole and Area if you want the filters to find it later.
-
Click Add To Map. It’s live for your whole team instantly.
-
Tap the Irrigation section (droplets icon) in the bottom bar.
-
Tap the green Add button.
-
Tap the spot on the map, or better: stand next to the head and tap USE CURRENT LOCATION. Your GPS does the aiming for you.
-
Happy with the pin? Tap the map to nudge it, then hit Proceed to next step.
-
Pick the type, name it, and optionally tap a Hole and Area chip.
-
Tap Add to map. Done.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Name things consistently (“3 Fwy Head 12”) and the Inventory panel stays useful as your map grows.
- Holes and areas power the map filters. Ten seconds now saves scrolling later.
- Your property can have custom object types too. See Set up your objects.
If something’s not working
Section titled “If something’s not working”“Adding objects is limited to management or owners.” Your role can’t add objects. Any Owner or Management member can do it, or change your role under Manage Account → Team.
The type grid says “No irrigation icons are configured for this property.” Your icon library is empty. Reseed it from Set up your objects, or contact us.
Add To Map is grayed out. You need all three: a location, a type, and a name.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Manage your inventory to move or remove objects later. Deleting is web-only and asks for your password.
- Draw pipes and wires for everything that isn’t a point on the map.
