Notifications

Turfile notifications are mobile pushes. No emails, no web pop-ups. On the web you get red badges and panels instead.

What happenedWho gets the pushThe push says
An issue is created (any section)Owners + Management”New issue”
A tree work order is createdOwners + Management + the assignees”New work order”
A to-do is assigned to youThe assignee only”New task”
An issue is resolvedOwners + Management”Issue completed”
A to-do is completedOwners + Management + the assignees”To-do completed”
A work order is completedOwners + Management + the assignees”Work order completed”

The body names the section and property, then the issue type and item. If a push can’t work out its title, it falls back to “Turfile update”.

Two fine points:

  • If a resolved issue had a linked to-do, you get the “To-do completed” push instead of “Issue completed”, not both.
  • Staff only hear about their own work. They’re never pinged about other people’s items.
  • The app-icon badge counts unread pushes and clears when you open the app.
  • Tapping a push opens Turfile, but it doesn’t jump to the item yet. Find it in the Issues panel or your to-dos.
  • Already in the app? The push shows as a banner with Dismiss, and slides away on its own after six seconds.

If you’re not getting pushes, make sure you’re signed in on the mobile app with notifications allowed, and check Turfile in your phone’s settings if it never asked. Waiting on an email? There aren’t any, Turfile is push-only. Still not right? Email us at support@turfile.com.
