Measuring tools

The measuring tools are exactly what they sound like: the standard set you’d reach for in something like Google Earth, built right into your course map. Click Measurement tools on the toolbar and start measuring.

You can:

• Measure distances by dropping points along a line, a cart path, a pipe run, the walk from the shop to the 9th tee.
• Measure areas by outlining a shape, a green, a bunker, a spray zone, and reading the square footage.
• Read angles between the sides of a polygon as you draw it.
• Switch units to whatever your crew works in.

It’s quick, hands-on measuring for when you just need a number off the map. Every role can use it, including Staff, so anyone can grab a measurement.

For irregular shapes you’d rather not trace by hand, like a whole fairway or a pond, Turfile Vision can outline it for you and hand back the square footage in a couple of clicks.
