Layer Management
Layers are the imagery that sits underneath your map. Plain satellite gets you started, but the right imagery makes the map read like your actual course: a recent satellite pass, a high-resolution drone flyover, or a survey overlay you already have.
Two ways to get a layer
Section titled “Two ways to get a layer”- Request it from Turfile. Tell us what you need, satellite or drone, and we handle the rest, sourcing it, processing it, and dropping the finished layer straight into your workspace.
- Upload your own. Already have imagery as a GeoTIFF? Bring it in yourself.
Either way, the layer lands in your property, ready to turn on.
Then you manage and show them
Section titled “Then you manage and show them”Once you’ve got layers, you’re in control of them:
- Manage them, rename, hide, or delete any layer.
- Show them on the map, toggle as many as you like on and off, whenever you want.
Where this lives
Section titled “Where this lives”It all runs from the Layers widget in the widget panel on the right of the screen. That’s where you toggle layers, and its Manage layers button opens the full Layer manager, where requesting, uploading, and managing happen.
In this section
Section titled “In this section”- Requesting satellite imagery
- Requesting drone imagery
- Managing your layers
- Showing layers on the map
Requesting imagery is part of the Standard and Pro plans. On Basic you’ll see the request options locked, with an upgrade prompt.
